Student Data Warehouse Pilot

Data Dictionary

The integration of data across the UC Berkeley campus has been a cabinet initiative since October 2000, and as such has long been one of the Chancellor's top priorities.  The Student Data Warehouse (SDW) provides an integrated data environment intended to improve collaboration and enable more powerful reporting and analysis of student data by departments and central offices.  The SDW brings together data relating to admissions, enrollment, courses, grades, and degrees for both undergraduate and graduate students.  In order to limit hardware, support and security costs, it is open to only 20 users from central administrative and deans offices.  The primary user documentation for the SDW is the Data Dictionary.

If you would like more information on the SDW, please feel free to contact Peter Cava, Manager of the Enterprise Data Warehouse or Dennis Hengstler, Vice Chancellor, Office of Planning and Analysis.
